Holden BPW Works Through Short Agenda At Monthly Meeting June 4

The Holden Board Of Public Works went through a short agenda when it met Tuesday, June 4.

After approval of minutes and a financial report, the board first took up the water system.

General Activities
In general activities, Assistant Water Superintendent, Tucker Fletchall, informed the board a clay valve previously discussed has been ordered and is awaiting delivery. There were no breaks to report. The team worked on the base of the water tower, doing repairs and sealing it with concrete.
Water Superintendent, Tony Lerda, then addressed the board, saying the water plant, epoxy has been ordered for the basins to seal the top along with a special grout for the inside walls at the waters edge.

LEAD INVENTORY
Turning to another topic, Lerda displayed a stack of the responses to a recent questionnaire, showing the board the community has been extremely cooperative with returning the mailing. He said he is taking the information and entering pertinent information into the Diamond Maps application. The map has fire hydrants, gate valves and sewer main information entered. Lerda brought up the application while speaking so that Holden City Council Liaison, Allen Mensch could view it capabilities.

SEWER SYSTEM
