Personnel Items Main Focus Of LJC6 Board

Hiring and resignations of staff and personnel took up the majority of the agenda when the LJC6 Board of Education gathered for its May 13 meeting.

Before those items were discussed, Superintendent Kathy Butler announced Lucas Richards had officially tendered his resignation from the board.

Individuals interested in applying for this vacancy should send or email a letter of interest to Karen Fiene, Board Secretary. Letters are due Tuesday, May 28 and applicants will be interviewed at the June 10 board meeting. The board will be making a selection at that time. The applicants will fill the vacancy until April 2025.

Hiring Of Substitutes
The first item of personnel was the hiring of substitutes. Brian Schrader moved to hire Kayda Kamolz as substitute. Daniel White seconded the motion.
