BILLY JOE “BJ” FIELDS
Billy Joe “BJ” Fields, 59, of Chilhowee, Missouri, formerly of Holden, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 near Centerview.
Billy was born April 15, 1962, in Kansas City, the son of Jewel E. and Irene (Powell) Fields. He attended Holden and Strasburg schools.
He lived in Holden and Chilhowee for the majority of his adult life. Billy loved riding motorcycles with Kyle and friends, fishing with friends and family, especially his daughter and grandchildren.
He loved working on many projects. It was always interesting seeing what dad had made. He also loved time spent with his grandchildren, where he would always come up with motorized toys.
Survivors include two sons, Kyle Fields (Sarah) of Odessa, MO and Brandon Jones of Alabama; daughter, Chelsea Foster of Holden, MO; seven grandchildren, James Jones, Landon Jones, Reed Jones, Harley Newman, Avery Newman, Wyit Foster and Zach Fields; ex-wife and friend, Julie Fields of Holden, MO; two sisters, Grace Despres of Buckner, MO and Cindy Fields of Oklahoma; half-brother, Burt Fields (Brenda) of Abilene, TX; half-sister, Linda Butler of Warrensburg, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Twila Reece and Terry Fields; half-brother, Ramone Torrez; and stepmother, Shirley Fields.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, September 18, at the Holden City Park.
